Choroidal Metastasis

Metastatic cancer to the choroid means that a primary cancer somewhere other than the eye has spread to the choroid, a vascular layer of the eye just beneath the white sclera. Choroidal metastasis is the most common ocular cancer. Choroidal melanoma is the most common primary ocular cancer. The most common types of choroidl metastases are lung cancer metastases in men and breast cancer metastases in women.
